...The Centre for Life is one of the governments prestigious 'Millennium' projects. Diespeker Limited were delighted to be chosen to be involved in a project of such importance and the whole process took nearly two years from start to finish.

The project involved the design, manufacture and installation of a 375m² free-standing 80 seat theatre structure in the shape of an egg! Diespeker were involved with the project from August 1998, before the main contract had been awarded to Laing Construction

As the project involved the design and build of pneumatic doors for the structure, the client insisted that the project was undertaken by a company able to supply a total solution, from local authority Health & Safety concurrence, to completion on site.

The project took 22 months from start to finish, with the majority of this time spent on development and design at the project designers office in London.

Site installation of the main structure took only 3 weeks to complete. The installation of the pneumatic door took a little longer and all compressors, airlines and power supply were installed and supplied by Diespeker Limited.
